I probalby should change the title of this one, as I don't think we'll be going to that area. We'll still be meeting at the ION, same time, but I think we'll ride the other side of the highway, start out from Sommercamp Rd./ Rat's Nest area. My dad & Henry Ross came down through there a couple years ago, but we didn't look aound much. So I think that's where we'll go. I can't guarantee the "beginner" part either. No idea on milage or if we'll get into snow, I might go do some recon in the pickup on Saturday.

I did some recon this morning, the Masing area is a mess. But, I went to the Murphy area and it's perfect. I drove my 2wd pickup from Murphy on the Stage Rd. past the well to the Silver City Rd. and had no trouble at all. It should be awesome.

So here's the change in plans: We are going to ride the Rabbit Cr. area near Murphy instead of Jump Cr. Meet at the Rabbit Cr. Trailhead on Highway 78 just west of Murphy, ride from there at 10:30. I know it's an awfull late start, but I'm going to go to Marsing for teh original departure in case anyone shows up there. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Rabbit Cr. from the truck stop, so I should be at the trailhead just after 10:00. Plan for about 40 miles, intermediate difficulty.
