Ride Location: Wiley Reservoir / Garat Crossing
When: Wednesday - Saturday, July 14 - 17, 2010
Link up: 0800, Wednesday, July 14, Stage Stop on I-84 (Orchard Exit). You are welcome to join us for breakfast at 07:00. We will depart the Stage Stop promptly at 08:00.
Staging Area: Jacks Creek Reservoir which is 20 miles of good gravel road west of Highway 51 on Battle Creek / Jacks Creek Road.
Multiple Rides:
Wednesday: Jacks Creek Reservoir to Wiley Reservoir (35-miles) vic 42 15.006N, 116 28.940W
Thursday - Friday: Exploratory rides around the Owyhee River area, Garat Crossing, Wiley Ranch, gas pipeline compressor station, and corridors within the wilderness area.
Saturday: Return to Jacks Creek Reservoir Staging Area (45-miles).
Difficulty: Beginner.
Notes: This is a multiple overnight tent camping event; so whatever you need, you will have to haul it on your machine or tow it; recommend fuel for 175-miles. If you have something, you can’t live without but don’t have space for it, contact the ride leader. Garat Crossing is located on the Owyhee River approximately 20 miles west of Riddle (as the crow flies). Two-wheel drive ATVs ok. Ride route map available upon request.
